Modern High-Production Farm

• Observation of best agricultural management practices as used by the Flinchbaugh family from a viewing pavilion overlooking the farm
• Demonstration of best agricultural management practices, including:
- No-till planting, which conserves the soil by preventing erosion
- Contour and strip planting, also for soil conservation
- Diversion channels and basins to interrupt runoff and conserve water
- Careful monitoring of soil nutrients and PH levels to allow only discretely necessary amounts of fertilizer and soil amendments, conserving fuel and labor
- Careful monitoring and application of herbicides and pesticides for minimum impact to the land and the environment
